CFIA – the popular food industry trade show in France which was originally scheduled for March is now taking place in Rennes after all….
The show in Rennes was postponed in March due to the ongoing Coronavirus crisis – initially rescheduled for May 26-28 – but organisers GL Events removed any uncertainty by moving the show – which Sirane will exhibit at – to the autumn.
And GL Events announced in April that the show would have to move to Nantes, due to the unavailability of Rennes for the new September dates.
A statement from the organisers read: “Supported and encouraged by our exhibitors, visitors and long-standing partners, and with the support of the Parc des Expo de Rennes, the CFIA show now has the opportunity to return to its historic lands
“We are therefore happy to announce that CFIA 2020 will take place on September 29, 30 and October 1 at Parc Expo Rennes Aéroport.
“Rennes has always been the stronghold of the CFIA, at the heart of the leading European food region. Over time, it has also become the largest gathering of the sector thanks to the quality and diversity of its offer.”
At the same time, they announced that CFIA 2021 will be delayed until June 8-10, and the inaugural Toulouse event will be postponed until a later date.
Sirane’s Earth Packaging range – sustainable, compostable and recyclable – will take centre stage on our stand at the CFIA show when it goes ahead. We’ll be taking our eco-friendly packaging range to the Rennes show – along with many other more traditional and popular packaging solutions including dual-ovenable and absorbent.

Our Earth Packaging range includes our award-winning plastic-free packaging ‘Earthpouch’ – a paper-based solution with a heat-sealable coating, which is preformed into a stand-up pouch, along with a flow-wrap film Earthfilm.
Both products are available in standard, barrier and high barrier.

CFIA is now scheduled to run at the Parc Expo Rennes Aéroport, from September 29 to October 1, 2020. New stand layouts are still to be finalised.
