The Earthpad Resource is aimed at anyone wanting to go green – it’s an absorbent pad which is both compostable and recyclable with the paper.

Sirane’s Earth Packaging range – our sustainable, compostable and recyclable packaging solutions – will be a major focus when we exhibit at CFIA; and Earthpad Resource forms part of that range.
Earthpad Resource absorbent pads are a cellulose absorbent layer, bonded to a paper-based top or bottom layer with a bio-polymer coating. We have run successful trials with tray-makers in high-speed operations, who were packing fruit.
The pads have potential use within fruit, meat and seafood industries and more.
Earthpad Resource is available in any size, shape or configuration, including slit rolls. They are currently available in white, with a range of colours available soon. A range of absorbency grades are available – from 800cc/M2 up to 10,000cc/M2.
Earthpad Resource is available in single or double sided pad formats and is unique in its construction, made without the use of glues.
Other products in our Earth Packaging range include plastic-free pouches and films (Earthpouch and Earthfilm), and our new recyclable sandwich packs (Earthwedge).
Sirane recently hit the news in France with a salad packaging solution developed by us as part of a project working with some major brands in the country.
(RE)SET Packaging are a consultancy company specialised in the circular economy, who looked worldwide for the most innovative providers of sustainable packaging working in the food sector. Carrefour and LSDH (owners of the Les Crudettes salad brand) signed up to an ambitious pact, with Carrefour promising to make all packaging recyclable, reusable or compostable by 2025.
Sirane was among the innovative packaging suppliers shortlisted to work on potential solutions – and nine months on the plastic-free packaging solution is the first potential (RE)SET Packaging product launch on the horizon.
