CFIA in Rennes – the popular French food industry trade show which Sirane is due to exhibit at – has been postponed until May.
The show was due to run at Expo Rennes Aeroport from March 10-12, but organisers GL Events have postponed the event until May 26-28, 2020 due to concerns about Coronavirus.
A statement from the organisers read: “As a precaution, in the face of the local health situation, it appears that postponing the 2020 edition of the CFIA Rennes is the most sensible decision. The health of our 1,600 exhibitos, our employers, our partners, business and the public is our only priority.
“It is a difficult decision to make, but the conditions are not there today for this event to take place with confidence.”
France has 191 confirmed cases of Coronavirus (as of March 1st), and earlier this week banned indoor gatherings of more than 5,000 people in a bid to control the outbreak.
