SIRANE’S Earth Packaging solutions can really help you boost your green credentials by cutting both packaging waste and food waste. Environmentally-friendly packaging is in the news at the moment, as is reducing food waste, but what if your packaging can actively help contribute to both goals.
Our Earth Packaging Products fall into one of 4 categories: PAPER-BASED, BOARD-BASED, BIO-BASED or recyclable plastics – our REPEAT range.
BIO-BASED
Compostable food packaging from Sirane includes our absorbent pads for meat, poultry, seafood and fruit. Many of our Dri-Fresh absorbent products can be offered in compostable form – under the name Dri-Fresh Resolve; for Sirane Resolve = compostable. We also offer compostable water-retaining flower pouches.
PAPER-BASED
…and then there’s the Earthpouch – an industry first. Earthpouch is an award-winning food packaging solution made from a paper with a 100% plastic-free heat-sealable coating which is then formed into a preformed stand-up pouch which provides total food security for dry and moist food products. This pouch is easily recyclable as part of the paper stream! We can also offer Earthfilm, the same material but for flow-wrap. Barrier and high barrier versions are available. In addition, we offer a range of absorbent pads using only paper!….
BOARD-BASED
Sirane is a specialist converter of board products, and many of our products can be supplied as eco-friendly solutions. Instead of laminated boards with a plastic layer, for example, we can offer coated boards for use as cake boards, patisserie boards, salmon boards, pizza boards and more. Options include ovenable boards.
RECYCLABLE PLASTICS
Our recyclable plastics are sold under our RePEat brand. These are PE-based packaging solutions, including stand-up pouches, flow-wrap films, vacuum pouches and insulated bags.
