SIRANE will return to Fruit Logistica in Berlin in April – where we are exhibiting our packaging solutions as part of the UK pavilion.
The show – moved from its regular February date to April due to COVID – is without doubt the most important global date in the fresh produce calendar.
Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, said: “Fruit Logistica is without doubt the most important date in the fruit calendar, and it’s a few years since Sirane exhibited there, partly due to recent cancellations of the show. We’re really pleased to be making a return – and looking forward to seeing some old faces as well as meeting new contacts.
“We have plenty of recent developments to discuss, including many sustainable packaging solutions perfect for the fresh produce sector – products here include our paper-based absorbent pads, compostable absorbent pads, compostable shrink film, compostable pallet wrap and more – there’s many reasons to visit our stand.”
So what exactly will we be exhibiting at Fruit Logistica?
Well the most exciting recent development from Sirane in the fruit sector has been the Earthpad. The Earthpad is a paper-based absorbent pad, which is both compostable and recyclable, and so is popular with anyone looking to become more eco-friendly.
We have a number of other compostable products, including Earthshrink – a compostable shink film suitable for produce such as cucumber, broccoli etc.
Indeed we have also recently added compostable pallet wrap to our range – under the brand name Earthcling.
Other compostable products include our Dri-Fresh Resolve absorbent pad – while we also offer cushioned absorbent pads for soft and delicate fruit, Dri-Fresh Soft-Hold.
Our Dri-Fresh Fresh-Hold EA pads offer integrated ethylene absorbency alongside the ability to absorb regular juices etc.
We can even offer EA labels for when just the ethylene absorbency is required – perfect for produce which is susceptible to deterioration caused by ethylene.
Sirane offers shelf-life extending films – including compostable/breathable films such as our Sira-Flex Resolve.
And we can even offer regular flexible packaging pouches including recyclable pouches, suitable for frozen produce.
We’re also hoping to unveil a new product at Fruit Logistica. It’s safe to say it could well be a hit for anyone looking for genuinely sustainable retail packaging solutions.
