AN in-depth interview with Sirane MD Simon Balderson has been released by the Mixed Food Community to promote a seminar at which he will be the main speaker.
Sirane’s food packaging solutions – and topics including shelf-life extension and innovative cooking bag solutions – are discussed during the interview organised by the new group.
Sirane MD Simon Balderson will be the main speaker at the free event which will focus on anti-microbial products, packaging for hot food, cook-in bags, vacuum bags and sous-vide – but which will cover all aspects of food packaging as topics are raised.
Simon said: “The Mixed Food Community invited me to speak at this event, and they are inviting senior managers from food service and the restaurant and catering trade. The event was due to be held earlier in the year, but was rescheduled and instead I was interviewed.
“Packaging has a huge part to play in this sector, just as it does in other parts of the food chain, particularly in relation to shelf-life extension and ready-cook packaging.
“Hopefully the interview will spark people’s interest, and they will come along… and if not, maybe there’s people out there who’ll just be interested in the subject matter. There’s plenty in there, from steam-cooking bags to odour-absorbent packaging for vac-packed meat.”
The seminar has been organised by The Mixed Foods Community, a new organisation which organises seminars, talks, debates, conferences and trade shows with the objective of providing extensive support to food business. Visit www.mixedfoods.com for details.
