SIRA-PACK: Pouch-filling line installed as contract packing moves a big step closer

Pouch-filling - Sira-Pack

A FULLY automatic pouch-filling line has recently been installed at Sirane as part of our new co-packaging and fulfilment operation – Sira-Pack.

The M7 – the same machine we also offer for sale – will enable us to fill pre-formed stand-up pouches and flat pouches with ambient dry products.

The installation came just weeks after we appointed a new head of co-packing and fulfilment – Zela Clarke – as we prepare to fully launch Sira-Pack next month.

Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, said: “Our M7 pouch-filling lines is an amazing system, and one which we know runs paper-based pouches just as efficiently as plastic, and so enables us to offer co-packing to people wanting to go plastic-free.

“There’s other machinery on the way in, and work still to be done, but the team are working hard in order to get everything ready for the launch of Sira-Pack.”

Sira-Pack is our new co-packing and fulfilment service – which means we can deliver on the whole packaging solution, from start to finish.

Not only do we offer production of flexible packaging solutions, but we have an in-house graphic design studio, and can design and supply shelf-ready packaging (SRPs), free-standing display units (FSDUs).

And Sira-Pack – our new co-packing and fulfilment service – offers the final piece in the jigsaw for anyone looking for a ‘packaging partner’.

Our flexible packaging range includes plastic-free paper-based barrier films and pouches, recyclable PE films and pouches and more.

Peter Ralten, chief commercial officer, said: “The M7 is a really good pouch-filling system, and it is one we know runs really well with our paper-based plastic-free pouches and our recyclable RePEat pouches, so is the perfect solution.”
