We write further to the announcement by the Prime Minister on March 23rd,  2020 that people in Britain should only leave home in limited circumstances, one of which is to travel to and from work when absolutely necessary if it is not possible for them to work from home.

We are providing an update today on the preventative and precautionary actions taken to date as we focus on health, safety and business continuity. We have implemented several actions through our task force, including:
• Instituting government and best practice guidelines to limit virus spread and keep our employees healthy.
• Providing ongoing and transparent communications for our employees regarding our continuity plans and new preventive measures. We also established a direct line of communication to the task force that every employee can utilise to ask questions and obtain additional information.
• Implementing operational enhancements, in alignment with public health authority guidance, to limit employee and customer exposure to the virus.
• Implementing access restrictions at our global facilities, including strictly limiting visitor access to both our manufacturing and office facilities.
• All employees able to work from home are now doing so
• Stopping all business travel.
• Providing safety guidance and supplies appropriate for our field employees

Therefore, we can guarantee that we will continue with no disruptions to your service.

SIRANE’S thermally-insulated bags keep chilled food cold – and hot food hot. With many restaurants turning to home deliveries during the current crisis, they're one way of delivering restaurant quality food that remains nice and hot....

Used by supermarket shoppers and small independent food outlets alike, they are a reusable bag ideal for transporting fresh goods home, delivery services, marketing and promotion - with many people opting for their own bespoke ‘branded’ bag.

Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, said: “Whether you’re a supermarket or a farm-shop, selling fresh meat or hot-food, insulated bags could be something to consider. We can custom-brand or supply with generic print, and digitally print shorter print runs.

“Lots of restaurants and takeaways have had to move quite quickly – some with no prior experience - to a home-delivery only model. These bags will help keep that food hot, and may be one of the packaging components needed.

“We also have a range of bags in stock, ready to go. This includes different sizes as well as different levels of insulation. They may just be the missing component you need… for many restaurants this may only be a short-term solution, with custom branded bags not needed. Others may decide it's worth the investment, and even decide to continue with home deliveries in the long-term.”

Bags can be impregnated with anti-bavterial protective properties. Active anti-bacterial properties (from Biomaster) can be built into the insulated bags during the manufacturing process, so the protection will last for as long as the bag does.. Bacteria can build up on the surface of the bags – which is where the Biomaster comes in. The technology protects the shopper against bacterial build-up by repelling the bacteria – and the protection lasts for as long as the bag itself - particularly importating for anyone intending to re-use the bag.

Our Thermally-Insulated Bags are also 100% recyclable – bag, handle and insulation - and have been endorsed by the UK Recycling Association. They also come with a special handle making them more comfortable to carry.

Sirane is an innovative packaging design, development, manufacture and solutions company which specialises in areas including absorbency and ovenable/microwaveable products, compostable packaging, films, boards, absorbent pads, and much more.
