WITH just a few weeks until IFEA Johannesburg, Sirane is busy finalising its plans.
IFEA Johannesburg offers Sirane a way of reaching the right people within the rapid-growing African food industry – and presenting them with our innovative food packaging solutions.
Jeremy Haydn-Davies, sales director, said: “The company has exhibited at IFE in the UK – one of the country’s biggest food industry trade shows – on numerous occasions, and so the chance to visit the same show in Africa is one that we just couldn’t refuse.
“IFE has always been a very busy, successful show for us – and we’re hoping that the inaugural IFEA event will be just as successful, and we’re happy to be there.
“There seems to be a real thirst in Southern Africa for new, innovative packaging solutions – which is what we do best – and so we’re anticipating a busy few days.”
For Sirane the show comes just weeks after opening new offices and warehousing in Cape Town following 12 months of spectacular growth in the region.
Simon Balderson, Sirane managing director, said: “We’re looking forward to the show in Johannesburg, especially now we have our offices and warehousing open.
“It means we are in a perfect position to capitalise on interest generated at the show. There’s been plenty of interest already in Sirane’s products from Southern Africa, and IFEA should be a great way for us to reach even more people.”
Sirane is an innovative packaging design, development, manufacture and solutions company which specialises in areas including absorbency and ovenable/microwaveable products, compostable packaging, films, boards, pads, and much more.
Key international markets for Sirane include packaging for fruit and vegetables, meat and seafood. Other growing markets include over-the-counter cooking bags.
The company now has offices in the UK, Turkey, the Middle East and South Africa.
Sirane Southern Africa is headed up by Stacey Loader. “Business is booming in South Africa”, she said, “and so the office and warehousing was the obvious next step for us here. Things are happening even faster than we dared hope, and storage became necessary.
“We’ll be exhibiting at IFEA in Johannesburg in September and are looking forward to bringing Sirane’s innovative solutions to new markets across the African continent.
“Anyone who wants an appointment at the show should contact me directly.
“We are extremely excited at the possibilities open to us not just within South Africa, but throughout the emerging African markets as well. We look forward to bringing Sirane's unique and innovative packaging to help invigorate our tired industry.
“Sirane's products will help revolutionise how we package our fresh produce in this country. From extensive shelf life benefits, to improving the taste and presentation of our food products, the initial response to Sirane's products has been incredibly encouraging.”
Sirane ‘s stand at IFEA is G01D. The inaugural IFEA – Africa’s international food and drink event - takes place at the Sandton Convention Centre from September 18th – 20th.
