A SWISS retailer has become the first to use our plastic-free Earthfilm to pack frozen ice-cream desserts – with the material used for their range of lollies.
Geneva-based Konoi sells a range of vegan hemp-based frozen ice-cream desserts in lolly format. They are packed by hand, with the Earth-film used as a sleeve.
“Sustainibility is one of our company values besides quality and health, and since the beginning we knew we had to find a non-plastic alternative for our ice cream packaging,” said Kumiko Kuwibara, spokesperson for Konoi.
“We are very pleased with the quality and aesthetic of our new paper packaging. It’s perfectly aligned with our company philosophy and product quality, whilst conserving our ice creams in a good condition.”
Earthfilm is part of our sustainable Earth Packaging range – and is an award-winning plastic-free packaging solution, paper-based with a heat-sealable coating. It is also available as a preformed stand-up pouch, Earthpouch.
