SIRANE has appointed Karl Heggarty as global sales manager.
The appointment comes as the company bids farewell to sales director Jeremy Haydn-Davies, who has retired after 18 years with the company.
Karl joined Sirane seven years ago, as sales executive, before becoming sales manager and then subsequently senior sales manager.
In recent years he has been responsible for our sales in the seafood sector, as well as for growing our business in North America.
Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, said: “Karl has gained significant experience at Sirane, and has worked across multiple sectors, and in many parts of the world, and was the obvious choice to replace Jeremy.
“We have ambitious plans to continue to grow Sirane on a global basis, and Karl’s experience and knowledge will be vital for the future.
“While replacing Jeremy’s knowledge and experience is virtually impossible, Karl is the person to continue to take Sirane forwards, especially as the company grows into new areas.”

Sirane is an innovative packaging development-to-manufacture company, with expertise in absorbency and material science. Specialisms include board, bags and pouches, absorbent products, shelf-life extension, plastic replacement and dual-ovenable products.
It has four main divisions: food packaging; medical & healthcare; horticultural and speciality products. The company is based in Telford, Shropshire, with additional manufacturing in Guadalajara (Mexico) and Moscow (Russia), with a network of agents/distributors.
