SHOWS: Packaging Innovations London rescheduled for December 2020

PACKAGING Innovations in London has become the latest trade show to be rearranged, with organisers Easyfairs moving the popular show from September to December.

The show, which is held at the Olympia in London, had been scheduled to take place on September 23-24, 2020, but will now be held from December 8-9. Sirane will be exhibiting at the re-arranged show, as well as at the Birmingham show in February 2021.

Organisers said that with more than 40% of visitors coming to the London show from overseas, potential quarantine restrictions made the September dates impossible.

A statement from the organisers read: “A two-week quarantine period for anyone arriving in the UK has been enforced as part of the UK Government Action Plan to tackle the Coronavirus outbreak. Being a truly international show, Packaging Innovations receives 43.3% of its exhibitors from 17 different countries outside the United Kingdom. In consequence, the current travel regulations recently imposed by the Government make it impossible to run an international exhibition in September.”

When the show takes place in December, we will be exhibiting our range of packaging solutions, including our plastic-free Earthpouch and Earthfilm, our latest board innovations including our plastic-free sandwich pack Earthwedge, microwave susceptor packaging, absorbency, ovenable and microwaveable packaging and much more.

Packaging Innovations is not the only show we’re exhibiting at which has been rearranged.

CFIA – the popular food industry trade show in France which was originally scheduled for March – was moved to September 29-October 1… and was  also moved to Nantes before organisers took the decision to move back to Rennes when it became available.

And the Plastic Free World Conference & Expo, due to be held in Cologne from June 16-17 was postponed in March and is now scheduled to take place from November 9-10. Sirane MD Simon Balderson is among the speakers, and our stand can be found at PF32.
