MEDICA 2019: Compliant specimen transportation solutions among products that will be on show

Sirane is exhibiting at Medica for the first time

COMPLIANT specimen transportation packaging solutions will be among the products on show when Sirane exhibits at Medica 2019 in Dusseldorf next month.

Enaris Lab’s compliant packaging range offers the full secondary packaging solution for anyone looking to safely transport diagnostic specimens – including 95 kPa bags, absorbent pads and pouches, and specimen transport bags.

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, Enaris MD, said: “The correct packaging is vitally important for anyone transporting specimens and other precious – and potentially dangerous – fluids. Sirane offers wide range, including 95 kPa pressure bags, rigid outer packaging, and tailored absorbency to suit individual requirements.”

Other products perfect for laboratory use include BenchSafe – our absorbent spillage protection range – and our range of absorbent tray-liners.

Mark Lingard, Marketing Manager, said: “Medica’s a great show, with so many companies in the same place at the same time, so it is great opportunity. For any potential overseas distributors this is the opportunity to meet.

“We’ll be in Hall 16, in the very heart of the show, and we’re part of the Infomedix stand – Infomedix’s business is to connect distributors with products and is a great fit for Sirane – but it’s not just distributors welcome on stand, it’s anyone.”

We’ll be exhibiting under Enaris – the trading name for Sirane’s medical division.

We’ll be looking for companies interested in working with us on product developments, using our expertise in absorbency & material science.

And we’d also be interested to talk to distributors selling into hospitals/health services – as we have products for operating theatre/scrubs area/maternity use – such as anti-slip absorbent floor mats, emergency spill pads and tourniquet drapes.

We’ll also be introducing Earthpouch and Earthfilm – a plastic-free film or stand-up pouch which can be recycled as part of the paper recycling stream.

A unique aqueous-based coating allows the material to be sealed and additionally provides the barrier where required. It’s been certified as plastic-free by A Plastic Planet and is also officially endorsed by the UK Recycling Association.

Mark Lingard added: “Earthpouch and Earthfilm are the perfect solution for anyone looking for a sustainable alternative to plastic. The material is suitable for dry and moist materials – and we’re currently developing a version for liquids.

“This material could have many applications within a medical/pharma sector.”

Enaris has drawn on Sirane’s expertise in areas including absorbency and material science – as well as from listening to the needs of the market – to create a portfolio of products, many of which are available to buy online from www.enaris.co.uk

Jeremy Haydn-Davies, Enaris MD, said: “Medica is a real opportunity to discuss any development projects you may have. Over the years Enaris has developed several new products which have been driven by customers’ needs.

“If there’s a gap in the market, and Enaris could possibly make or develop the product that would fill that gap, then please let us know. We’ve got some products we’re currently developing that have come down this route.

“Whether you’re a distributor selling into the laboratory, medical or even mortuary sectors, or a company looking to source direct, come and say hello.”

The Medica Trade Fair runs from November 18-21. If you’re at the show, and think it might be worth meeting, then email [email protected] – or just visit us in Hall 16, Stand B43, where we’ll be part of the Infomedix stand.
