SIRANE GROUP: Lease signed for manufacturing site in Grand Prairie, Texas

Sirane's new site in Grand Prairie, Texas

SIRANE has signed a lease on a manufacturing site in the US state of Texas – as well as appointing a general manager to run the new site.

The location is in Grand Prairie – 3100 N Hwy 161 – and Jeff Yurtin has been recruited to run operations – with the site ours later this month.

The site in the Lone Star State will allow us to manufacture flexible packaging solutions such as our plastic-free Earthpouch, and also give us a foothold in the US from where we can look to sell other packaging solutions within our range.

Grand Prairie is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth conurbation.

Simon Balderson, Sirane MD, said: “This has been months in the planning, and we hope to be fully operational in the United States this year.

“We’ve been looking for the right site and pleased to have found the one we have. It’s got space to grow and offers great transport links.

“This will be a significant move – we have been aiming to manufacture in the US for a number of years and are now in a position to make it happen.

“With Jeff in place and the lease signed, we can begin taking more concrete steps, and indeed already have machinery on its way to Texas.”

The move is the third significant expansion by Sirane in 2022 with our new site in the Czech Republic now operational and a third site in the UK opened as a home to our innovative board division.

We’re exhibiting at the Plastic Waste Free World Conference & Expo in Atlanta, Georgia, which begins tomorrow (June 8) and runs for 2 days. Sirane will be represented by chief commercial officer, Peter Ralten, NPD manager Rachel McKenna and head of global sales, Karl Heggarty.

And our NPD manager, Rachel McKenna, will be on stage on the second day of the show talking about the possibilities offered by our range.

The show offers a chance for visitors to find out more about our Texas plans.
